Nepal · Two-Phase Campaign

TWO PHASES.
ONE MISSION.

Immediate rescue capability now. Responsible recovery for the future.

Catastrophic flooding and debris flows have devastated communities across Nepal, damaging homes, roads, businesses and essential infrastructure while exposing critical gaps in rescue capability.

PHASE ONE – RESCUE EQUIPMENT: Waterborne Relief is raising $30,000 to provide 26 Nepal Police rescue personnel with complete personal swiftwater rescue kits and shared technical gear. Our expedition will hand-carry 414 pieces of equipment to the Nepal Police Disaster Response and Training Center in Kathmandu in late October.

PHASE TWO – RECOVERY, EDUCATION & LIVELIHOODS: Our longer-term effort will support verified recovery, education, livelihood, preparedness and community-resilience projects in Nepal. This may include restoration of the Himalayan Outdoor Education Program at Royal Beach Camp, along with other approved initiatives identified in coordination with Nepal-based logistics, government and NGO partners.

Waterborne Relief will retain control of campaign funds, approve expenditures only for verified charitable purposes, document delivery and project activity, and report publicly on how contributions are used.

Nepal · Phase One Fundraiser

Equip Nepal Police Rescuers

Waterborne Relief is raising $30,000 to provide 26 Nepal Police rescue personnel with complete personal swiftwater rescue kits and shared technical gear. The equipment—414 individual pieces—will be donated directly to the Nepal Police Disaster Response and Training Center in Kathmandu for operational use by its officers.

Who We’re Working With

Waterborne Relief is leading fundraising, procurement, accountability and the formal transfer of equipment. Nepal Campaign Director Gabriel Walls is coordinating the campaign and the 26-person delivery expedition. Our Nepal-based logistics and government liaison team is coordinating customs, local transport and the handover with Nepal Police. Waterborne also has coordinated support from a Nepal-based NGO to help navigate local requirements and support accountable implementation.

How Delivery Works

Twenty-six expedition members traveling to Nepal in late October will use checked-baggage capacity to hand-carry the equipment into Kathmandu. Waterborne is coordinating formal acceptance and customs requirements with the Nepal Police DRTC. Experienced instructors will provide equipment familiarization at handover at no cost.
